Personal Engineering and Manufacturing
Holtkamp Eng & Mfg

Practical problem solving. Getting things working.

Equipment, systems, and one-off situations that don’t fit standard services.

About

I’m Dale Holtkamp II, a mechanical engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience in manufacturing, building and improving systems, tools, and equipment.

Most of my background comes from working directly on the floor, designing, fixing, and refining real processes. The work I take on goes beyond that. Shops, farms, small businesses, and one-off setups all run into problems that don’t fit clean categories.

I take on those problems directly. Figure out what’s actually wrong, work from what exists, and get it working.

Some jobs are straightforward. Others take more digging. Both get handled the same way.

Typical Fit

  • Something isn’t working consistently or at all
  • It works, but not the way it should
  • Parts or assemblies don’t fit or function correctly
  • Equipment needs modification, rework, or improvement
  • Custom parts or components are needed
  • Broken, worn, or obsolete parts need to be recreated or replaced
  • A workaround exists, but it isn’t a real solution

What I Do

Figure out what’s wrong

Fix what exists

Make what’s needed

Modify and improve

Recreate parts

Get it working reliably

How I Do the Work

I use a mix of engineering, machining, and fabrication to solve problems and build what’s needed.

Machining

  • CNC milling
  • Manual mill
  • Manual lathe
  • Surface grinding

Fabrication

  • MIG welding
  • TIG welding
  • Light fabrication
  • Forming

Repair & Rework

  • Broken parts
  • Worn components
  • Modifications
  • Fit-up and adjustment

Engineering

  • CAD
  • CAM
  • Recreate parts
  • Automation & electrical
